2020 has been a year of surprises, no doubt, but none have been as pleasant as the HUGE surprise we got yesterday when all of YOU, our supporters, not only met our fundraising goal for Give to the Max this year, but exceeded it!
We didn’t know what to expect going into this fundraising event, some would say this past year has been a constant exercise in disappointment, unmet expectations, and hardship on various levels. But the supporter response this year blew us away like never before and showed us that no matter how tough times are, there is a flip side to the human condition too.
As board member Joan put it when we were all reacting to the news this morning, “maybe just slowing down a bit in day to day life helps us humans to gain a little perspective and take the time to support what is dear to our hearts.” Your generous hearts have shown us once again that these dogs and our work with them matters to you, and we can’t thank you enough for that.
