Hi, I’m Ara and I’m still looking for my forever home! 

Can you tell from my pictures that I love the be around other dogs? It’s true! I live with two dogs and I think they’re fantastic! I hope my new home has another dog that I can play with too 🤞🏻

Here’s a little bit about Ara’s background: She came to MPBR by way of Texas. They are known as the 'Constellations Litter'. There are five puppies in total, 2 boys and 3 girls. They were born on 5/07/2020 and are Pit Bull/Mastiff mix so they’ll most likely be pretty big!

8.5.20 August Dog of the Month- Chula

August  is here & that means there’s a new Dog of the Month 💚 

It’s Chula's month!

Chula is an older gal (10). She is looking for retirement/hospice home to cuddle out her days. Due to her medical issues*, it might be best if she could enjoy the life as a single pet, though she could likely do okay with other calm pets. We don't know how much time Chula will be with us, but we know she adores her people and thrives on the simple things...a short walk, a sunny spot to relax, belly rubs and chin scritches.

8.3.20 August Fundraiser- Twin Cities Caricatures

Like many others, it's no surprise that our rescue has taken a large financial hit due to the pandemic. Although times may be tough, that has not stopped us from taking in many dogs with major medical needs. We’re not going to lie to you, it has been difficult adjusting to not having public events which would normally help even out the cost for these cases. To help with that, we are so excited to bring you a COVID friendly fundraiser!

MPBR has teamed up with Twin Cities Caricatures for the whole month of August!

Submit a photo of your pet(s) and receive a Traditional or Digital copy mailed or e-mailed right to you, zero contact needed! There's even a new offer for a coloring book 😮

The fine artists at Twin Cities Caricatures will be donating 25% of the amount collected at the end of the month to our rescue.

8.1.20 New to MPBR- Meet Ara

*Update-Adoption Pending*
This gorgeous girl is Ara and she’s as sweet as can be! Ara is dog friendly and loves spending time with her 2 foster dog brothers. She enjoys going for walks with them and has caught on quickly to walking on a leash.
Ara is VERY food motivated. She has learned to sit but we are still working on not jumping up and waiting for her food.
Her crate training is the best her foster mom has seen! She will sleep thru the night without a peep.
She does great on car rides and loves to play with all dogs she meets.
Her house training needs some improvement but she’s a puppy and she is working on it daily. She would be a good fit with other dogs or someone that is home more often to work with her potty training. She’s a total sweetheart!

7.31.20 Intake Hold

🚨 INTAKE HOLD

Alright folks, we need your help. We are currently on an intake hold for adult dogs. What does that mean? It means that our rescue cannot help save any 1+ year old dogs until we find Kaisa & Domina placement, whether it is with a foster or adopter and there are so many dogs that we cannot help right now. Domina & Kaisa are so deserving of a home 🏡 They have completed training and are ready to start the next chapter in there lives, could that be with you? Maybe with someone you know?

Kaisa- No dogs, cats, or kids*
•is on a daily medication for anxiety that is 10 cents per pill (about $6 a month)
•will clear a 6ft fence without a problem. Someone who has a fence would need to utilize a tie out (or something similar)
*has lived with children previously without issue however, opening/closing doors that lead to the outside world could be problematic as she could escape
