5.8.21 New to MPBR - Meet Laguna

Meet Laguna! She's about 1 and a half years old and we're looking for someone who can move slow & steady with her. Here's a little about her history:
Laguna came to MPBR from down south with her puppies, Flax (adoptable) and Cyber. Upon intake, we noticed she was incredibly timid. We've been working with her to get her to come out of her shell but it has taken awhile for her to trust humans.
Laguna is a special girl, and we will be pretty darn picky about her placement, we won't lie! You may be tempted to feel bad for her or wonder what happened...please don't waste energy on that. It simply won't help her grow and stretch her skills and comfort level. Here at MPBR, we like to focus on the positive and what we can control which is essential to Laguna's future. We are seeing slow but steady change in just treating her like a dog, encouraging bravery and contact when we read the signals that it is a good time and respecting her space when her signals are clear that she can't handle close contact in that moment. Her foster has a feeling as she continues to climb out of her shyness, we will see more typical doggie challenges, so while right now she is "easy," we fully anticipate the nature of the work of her management will be shifting over time. We look forward to sharing her progress with you ❤️
There is so much more we'd love to share with you about Laguna, click here.
If you're interested in meeting Laguna one on one, please visit www.mnpitbull.com so we can schedule a meet & greet.

5.6.21 New to MPBR - Meet Morty

Meet Morty! This strapping young lad has won over the hearts of his foster family and we know you'll fall in love with him too! Here's a word from his foster:
Morty is a special guy. If the timing were right, this bio would’ve never been written. He is truly amazing and is going to make the right person so very happy. It is impossible not to smile and laugh when we are with him.
Morty is around 1 year old and does well with other dogs, cats, and kids. He is also kennel trained & house trained. There is so much more to read about Morty and you can do so by clicking here (if the link doesn't work, his adoption is pending).
Interested in meeting Morty one on one? Read through our adoption information and apply at www.mnpitbull.com

5.5.21 New to MPBR - Meet Squidward

We've got another new face at MPBR, meet Squidward!
At 8 years old, don’t think that age slows this boy down. He is spunky, playful and plenty of youthful energy. He is a snuggly boy that loves toys and affection. He would do best with a fenced yard but doesn’t require one with the right family that can work with him on his leash walking. He doesn’t bark so a home with shared walls would be fine for him. He’s an amazing dog who is looking forward to a fresh start.

5.4.21 New to MPBR - Meet Chase

We've got a new face at MPBR, meet Chase!
Chase is such a wiggly, floppy guy. He's in the uncoordinated teenage phase, which makes great viewing for us humans. If he has to pick between hug or breakfast, he'd choose your hug every time. A lot of stuff is still new to this fella but he's a quick learner. The first night he was caught off guard by steps and a screen door but now he's got it down no problem. He loves a round of fetch/tug with a good toy and a romp with his foster canine sister. I could really see him enjoying living with another dog. He loves to explore and help me in the garden, the best assistant snoopervisor to date.
Read more about Chase here (if the link doesn't work, his adoption is pending).

5.3.21 May Dog of the Month - Seth

It’s May which means we have a new Dog of the Month, Seth!

Seth is almost 1 year old.
Who he currently lives with (humans and animals): 2 human adults, 1 adult male dog, 1 adult female dog
How he does with kids: Very excited; will knock over small children and chase them; we will require children to be 10+ years old
How he does with dogs: Meh, OK. I still have some manners to learn while interacting with other dogs (see more below). I would love to be an only dog (at least until I speak better dog).
How he goes with cats: Unknown - but based on my excitement level especially with kids and dogs, I probably would not be the best candidate to live with cats
My current size: ~40 pounds; I am petite but have thick paws so I will likely fill out more
Find more information & photos of Seth here.
Seth’s adoption fee is waived if an application is received this month! Let’s find this boy the perfect home🏡
Head to www.mnpitbull.com for adoption information & fill out an application if you'd like to meet him one on one.
